Jeff Bezos announces plans to launch commercial space station

Jeff Bezos said Monday that they hope to open an "Orbital Reef" station by the end of the decade.

A space travel company owned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has announced plans to launch a commercial space station.
Jeff Bezos of Blue Origin said the 32,000 sq ft station would provide customers with an ideal location for "film production in micro-gravity" or "modernization research" and said it would include "hotels". The announcement comes as NASA seeks a proposal to replace the 20-year-old International Space Station (ISS). While funding for the station is guaranteed until at least 2030, the outer terminal is in dire need of repair.
